eggnogx Posted October 21 Share Posted October 21 My 435 has been experiencing a crank-no-start issue for many months. The battery was aged and was changed on the day it ceased functioning. I had an updated low-pressure fuel pump arriving, so I decided to install it to see whether it would be beneficial. It started immediately and traveled around 200 miles before ceasing operation once again in my driveway. Any suggestions on things to examine would be much appreciated! Upon clearance, the only codes that reappear are 801C20 ZGM: central fault memory is full - no problem detected in control unit 481B04 No EKPS control current B7F8C3 Connection from headunit to CID: No connectivity (I own an aftermarket CarPlay device) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

eggnogx Posted October 21 Author Share Posted October 21 The gasoline gauge has been malfunctioning since these troubles started, consistently indicating full regardless of the actual fuel level, even after the installation of the replacement pump (it remained at full after 100 miles). alludey Posted October 21 Share Posted October 21 The only actions you may do are to confirm the power supply to the module and to ascertain the power reaching the fuel pump. alludey Posted October 21 Share Posted October 21 Uncertain about the pinout, but it should be 12V. The signal to the fuel pump is pulse-width modulation (PWM). Your previous codes suggest that your EKPS was likely in failsafe or emergency mode, operating the LPFP at a continuous 12V. It was likely already fried. eggnogx Posted October 21 Author Share Posted October 21 I installed a new improved EKPS; I have not yet programmed it, but I have heard that the F3X may not need coding. The EKPS code has now been modified to indicate low control current instead of no current at all. No progress has been made with the crank no start issue.
