misstki
Greetings, everyone. After using the automobile for about one week, I failed to fully comprehend the significance of the "Assist Plus" indication shown by the green light on the screen. Subsequently, I withdrew my hand from the steering wheel and made a discovery! I really appreciated the convenience of the option that allowed me to relinquish control of the steering wheel. Unfortunately, yesterday when driving to my workplace at a speed of around 75mph with the assistance of the automated driving feature, Assist Plus failed to appear on the screen. Perhaps an error occurred on the journey back, but upon closer inspection, there was no issue. I suspected that a sensor could be contaminated, so I decided to get my vehicle washed this morning. However, even after driving on the interstate, the issue persisted. What mistake am I making in this situation? Does this device operate autonomously, or is there another mechanism at play? DarsteMyst
I have never seen such phenomenon until the weather conditions were quite severe. Are you certain that you did not inadvertently press the mode button? I first believed that ACC was no longer functioning, but I really changed the setting to confirm that it was not due to a mistake on my part. misstki
The aided driving feature, namely the option controlled via the steering wheel, is now enabled. Additionally, the enhanced assisted driving mode is selected on the main screen menu. The weather is very clear. I have verified again, but I am uncertain whether there are any other actions I am doing that would prevent the activation of "plus" mode, such as engaging sport mode or similar actions. I am maintaining a speed limit of 85, since I am aware that exceeding this threshold is ineffective. I am concerned about encountering any problems during the first week of owning the item. It is possible that I am still in the process of familiarizing myself with its features. For instance, I have yet to discover the method to halt the radio throughout a phone conversation. I am unable to locate a choice that retains the position where I left off.
ouzo
Refer to the Manual, since it often provides a set of requirements that must be met for the system to operate. Additionally, there is a 70-second reset period.
Mokwele
Have you pressed the mode button and switched it to distance control or a similar setting?
kixriver
Have you removed the thin film/screen protector from your instrument cluster and center screen yet? Please refrain from laughing. The former refers to the camera that is directed at your eyes to determine whether it can activate. Upon purchasing my i7 in November, I had an issue where the hands-free feature would only activate for a little period of time. A few days later, as I was entering the interstate to go on my first lengthy journey from San Francisco to Santa Barbara spanning 300 miles, I suddenly had a realization that there may perhaps be a cinematic opportunity in this experience. I encountered an object, which I subsequently eliminated, including its presence on the central screen, while operating a vehicle. The hands-free driving feature functioned instantly and has continued to do so without any flaws since then (rather conveniently, I should add, hehe)! Indeed, the plasti-film had sufficient thickness to obscure the camera, thereby effectively impeding the use of the hands-free driving system -- I assure you! While it may not be directly applicable to you, I feel obligated to explain that this situation may potentially occur for you or someone else who is interested in your article about a new automobile. Alternatively, I hope you have a pleasant experience with your G70!
misstki
Indeed, it was indeed gone. In my opinion, the X Factor is wearing sunglasses. While I was returning home yesterday night, I decided not to use my sunglasses anymore since the sun was sinking. Shortly after, the "Assist Plus" feature appeared. The occurrence was of short duration, followed by a lack of illumination, however there is a possibility of progress being made.
DarsteMyst
The presence of sunglasses in this context is intriguing because it may potentially pose a problem. Furthermore, it might potentially vary depending on the nation. I conducted some experiments with it: my sunglasses have a strong prescription, are polarized, and have a mirrored coating. The camera is able to look through the mirror and identify when I shut my eyes. The system/camera seems to be very satisfactory. I obscured the camera by placing a sheet of paper over it, and as a result, I did not get any complaints from the ACC. By the way, it is intriguing that the automobile is capable of detecting whether you are physically or mentally impaired. In such a situation, it will alert you, activate the turn signal, and begin to slow down. Additionally, it may use brief but forceful braking maneuvers to rouse your attention. misstki
Indeed, it is wearing sunglasses. The sunglasses I own in my vehicle are likely polarized or coated in some manner, however they do not possess an excessively dark tint. After removing them, the aid function appeared and worked well. However, after they were reinstalled, that functionality ceased to function. What an utter nuisance. For six months out of the year, I wear sunglasses. However, I now need to locate new sunglasses that do not obstruct my car's ability to detect my eyes. It's rather remarkable.
kixriver
While it may be inconvenient and costly to get a new pair of sunglasses, the fact that it accurately distinguishes between different coatings on sunglasses to provide clear visibility of one's eyes, assuring safety, is really remarkable in a positive sense. Undoubtedly, we are pleased that your enigma has been conclusively resolved!
