Need guidance on purchasing a excavator from Sivalyn Group ?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

While looking for some equipment online, I came across a CATERPILLAR 313FL excavator that was posted by the Florida-based Sivalyn Group. Compared to what I'm used to seeing, the pricing felt significantly reduced. They sent me an email stating that the machine is a repossessed one, which accounts for the reduced price.

Has anyone previously used Sivalyn Group's shipping service or purchased machinery from them? I'm not really sure if this is real or not.

Any guidance would be much appreciated!

What is the location of Sivalyn Group's headquarters? I propose seeing the machine in person and conducting a test run, if feasible. For substantial acquisitions such as equipment, it is advisable to evaluate the product in person.

I understand that it may not always be convenient, nevertheless it can save numerous complications.

They’re located in Florida, but I’m all the way in Illinois, so making the trip just to view the excavator isn’t really an option for me. I’d have to rely on their delivery service, which makes me nervous. That’s why I’m trying to see if anyone’s had any experience with them before.

Hi @CarCollector,

I actually bought a Caterpillar skid steer from Sivalyn Group. I used their delivery and escrow service. Like you, I was skeptical at first, but the whole process went really smoothly. The machine was delivered to my farm in Georgia within 10 days, and I had about a week to inspect it before finalizing everything. I had my mechanic look it over, and everything checked out fine. No issues at all—everything went as promised.

Yeah, I had to pay in full before they started the delivery process, but I did a lot of research on Sivalyn Group before committing. I checked their reputation online and made a few calls to ask about their services. They were really patient and answered all my questions, so I felt more confident after that.

They also have an escrow system, which helped ease my worries. The money was held until I confirmed I was happy with the machine, which gave me peace of mind. In the end, it was definitely worth it, and the equipment was in great condition.

I can back that up. I bought a Kubota excavator from Sivalyn Group last year, and everything went smoothly. Like @BikeMechanic mentioned, the escrow system made the payment process feel a lot safer. The machine took about a week to arrive, and it was exactly as described. I inspected it over a few days, and once I was satisfied, the funds were released. I had no issues at all, and I’d recommend them.
