Considering buying an excavator from Sivalyn Group, need some advice?

I was browsing online for some equipment and came across a CATERPILLAR 313FL excavator listed by a company called Sivalyn Group out of Florida. The price seemed way lower than what I’m used to seeing. I got an email from them explaining that it’s a repossessed machine, which explains the lower cost.

Has anyone dealt with Sivalyn Group before, either for buying machinery or using their delivery service? I’m feeling a bit unsure about whether this is legit.

Any advice would be great!

Where is Sivalyn Group based? If possible, I’d recommend going to check out the machinery in person and maybe give it a test run. With big purchases like this, especially equipment, it’s always better to see what you’re getting firsthand.

I get that it’s not always convenient, but it can save you a lot of headaches.

I haven’t used Sivalyn Group personally, but with prices that seem too good to be true, I’d advise being careful. There’s a lot of shady stuff going on with used machinery and vehicles nowadays, especially online.

They’re located in Florida, but I’m all the way in Illinois, so making the trip just to view the excavator isn’t really an option for me. I’d have to rely on their delivery service, which makes me nervous. That’s why I’m trying to see if anyone’s had any experience with them before.

The machine was delivered to my farm in Georgia within 10 days, and I had about a week to inspect it before finalizing everything. I had my mechanic look it over, and everything checked out fine. No issues at all—everything went as promised.
