tomatoeincluding
Recently acquired a 2020 Kia Soul GT. It need some modifications and a component is missing. It is located behind the hood, to the side, and is intended for the upper lights (apologies for the inadequate explanation). I was wondering whether it can be purchased new or secondhand, since the light encircling the driver's side is loose without it. The passenger's side component is there, as shown by my circle, but I need the driver's side.

mindscoop
Could you provide an image of the driver's side, namely the area where the component is absent? Update: Refer to my subsequent article below.
mindscoop
Update: Disregard my previous statement; it seems that the tab is integral to the daytime running light. I searched but could not see a distinct listing for the tab alone. Consider visiting a salvage yard. Alternatively, a self-service salvage yard may allow you to extract just the specific component you want. Two images below from

callki
mindscoop seems to be accurate, indicating that the tab is a component of the light assembly. If there are no "you pull it" salvage yards in your vicinity, consider exploring eBay or www.car-part.com to locate a used component.
tomatoeincluding
Examined eBay; all items are new, and the few pre-owned ones lack the tab. No salvage yards in my vicinity own any Kia Souls. The automotive parts website fails to provide a complete listing of the light assembly. Regrettable, since it constitutes just a minor component. 1apissugar
I examined my son's 2016 model, and that component is part of the headlight assembly. It is entirely amalgamated, and it is impossible to discern any separation. You must replace the assembly.
tomatoeincluding
Indeed, I saw it as well when examining. Indeed, this is frustrating! Are the less expensive options on eBay of satisfactory quality? I could use the broken one, but a new one would secure it more effectively and would not protrude from the side fender. mindscoop
Do you want the repair to seem flawless? If not, what about bridging the area between the two screws in your image with a flat metal strap, brace, or mending plate? It is possible to paint it black, since Home Depot has pre-painted black repair plates. It would not seem original equipment manufacturer (OEM), but it is likely to provide the daytime running light with the necessary support now absent owing to the missing tab. Additionally, it should be cost-effective.

callki
Examine Rock Auto; they provide aftermarket options starting at around $113. They will function adequately.
