SavvyInvestor
Hello everyone, my 2018 model was not outfitted with the factory hardware/module that allows for CarPlay connectivity via USB or updates. The dealer and service have verified that there is no opportunity for me to add it. Is there a third-party solution or installation available to enable CarPlay in my 2018 Range Rover Sport? BookLover123
It seems that your vehicle may be somewhat outdated. Do you possess an image of your infotainment display to ascertain the software version you are utilizing?
SavvyInvestor
My device lacks the requisite hardware option for USB compatibility with CarPlay.
BookLover123
I am uncertain; that program is an outdated version. Access the settings to determine the version of the infotainment system you are using. The most recent initiates S22........ Do you lack a USB port located just in front of the center armrest, and does your model year not have an HDMI port? FitnessFanatic
I will contact many dealers to locate one willing to proceed. I have seen discussions indicating that a software upgrade may enable this feature, but only for versions 17 and above, maybe 18 and above, but I am uncertain. While it will not be wireless initially, this can be easily remedied with a wireless dongle once CarPlay is operational.
