Purchased a pre-owned 2020 model around six months ago, and it is the most advantageous $17,000 I have ever invested! It even included Full Self-Driving! The only concern is that the passenger door window strikes the frame during closure. There is no wind noise when driving, indicating a secure fit on the frame; nonetheless, it rattles significantly while closing the door. The technician at my nearby Tesla service center said that the issue is typical due to the frameless design of the doors; nevertheless, he did not recognize the severity of the problem in comparison to the driver's side door. It is quite evident. My investigation indicated that early Model 3s may modify the window angle by removing the door panel; however, Y doors are constructed differently. Is there a method to do a DIY repair on a window slap?

Air Conditioning Odor in Corolla (16,000 Miles)
silver6933 replied to cashewsdinner's topic in General Used Cars Discussions
I replicated igzy's actions, nevertheless the odor reemerges after some time. The one option I have identified is to reiterate this as necessary. I often use the air conditioning with the recirculation feature on. I reside in a non-humid region (Los Angeles, CA). It occurs mostly when the weather has been warm and I return to the vehicle after its parking. It is comprehensible, since all that condensation is being confined in a certain location. The odor is most pronounced when the air conditioning is off, the fans are operational, and the recirculation is disabled, allowing fresh air to enter. When the air conditioning is operational, the odor fades rapidly; nevertheless, it reemerges after the AC is deactivated and the outside vents are opened. I have also attempted to deactivate the air conditioning and open the vents when I am around 10 minutes from concluding my journey. This was ineffective, so I have discontinued it and will manage till I spray the evaporator. -
Leakage of transmission fluid
silver6933 replied to Mokwele's topic in General Used Cars Discussions
The simplest solution is a loose transmission pan or drain bolt. It may also refer to the cooler lines, which are readily seen from an above perspective. It would be more advantageous if it were positioned closer to the radiator. If the environment is saline, a corroded power steering hard line is probable. Not really enjoyable. I doubt Lucas can assist you with such a significant leak, since it is really a temporary solution. -
Leakage of transmission fluid

If it is leaking when operational and the belt is not engaged for the power steering, it may not be the pan, since it would likely leak regardless of whether the engine is running, more likely as a trickle. I would focus on the cooler lines at the transmission and the radiator. That would be your most fortunate occurrence. -
Leakage of transmission fluid
silver6933 replied to Mokwele's topic in General Used Cars Discussions
Why is your belt not fastened? It is conceivable that it is leftover drippings, or if you are oscillating the wheel, it may be causing fluid to escape from a leak. However, if the fluid only emerges while the vehicle is operational and the belt is disengaged, it is likely connected to the transmission. -
Leakage of transmission fluid

No, it is entirely distinct yet utilizes transmission fluid. It is conceivable that you have a little leak, and your level has not yet been impacted. However, if it is leaking to that extent, as I already said, it is readily observable. -
Leakage of transmission fluid

It is possible. The power steering system utilizes transmission fluid. Elevate the vehicle, secure it, and do a check of the return hoses if you suspect a power steering issue. Given its rapid descent, you should be able to locate it quickly without any coloring. -

I think Rock Auto is your best option -
I have recently ordered Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Thank to everybody. This is an excellent platform for obtaining help. I really appreciate this!

Thank you. They may have improved them. My experience with Michelins on the R8 occurred five years ago. They have performed very well on both of my Teslas. I will purchase the R8 once again and attempt it again, since I lack other viable choices.

Thank you for your feedback. Are Continentals available in the size 305/25/20? I am unable to locate them. The front ones are there, but the rear ones are absent.
-
Conversely, the S4 may have been used in regular conditions rather than subjected to abuse.
-
PS4S has less than 10,000 miles, but the Continentals have shown equivalent performance and greater longevity. I did not engage in any spirited driving, nevertheless they still did not endure for a considerable duration. Conversely, Contis has performed very well. I am uncertain about Pzeros since I have never experienced them.

I purchased Gen 2 wheels for my Gen 1, however the tires were older, and the rear tires were 315/30/20. It was suggested that the bigger rear tires might potentially damage the front differential of my Gen 1. I have decided to purchase new tires of the appropriate dimensions: 245/30/20 (front) and 305/25/20 (rear). I am examining Tire Rack, and the subsequent alternatives in this size for a set of four are as follows: Michelin Pilot Sport 4S - $1906.96 Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2 - $1187.96 Toyo Proxes Sport - $1,068.64 I have little experience with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on my Gen 1, since they were placed on my R8 upon purchase at 5,600 miles, and they did not last beyond 10,000 miles despite my moderate driving style. I substituted them with Continental Contis and have really enjoyed them. They are unavailable in the required size for the Gen 2 models. Are Hankook or Toyo tires of high quality? I will purchase the Michelins if the other two are not endorsed. I have Michelin Pilot tires on both of my Teslas: the Model X Plaid (1020 HP) and the Model S, and the performance of the Michelins has been exceptional on both vehicles. I just did not like them on my R8. Kindly provide comments and recommendations. Thank you!

Does my transmission mount seem defective?
silver6933 replied to infamousmelons's topic in General Used Cars Discussions
Indeed, it is quite difficult to ascertain only from images. I had a transmission mount that seemed intact, although there remained a bothersome vibration inside the range of 2000 to 2500 RPM. Having having rebuilt the engine mounts, I proceeded to replace the transmission mount. The vibration has ceased. -
Enhancing Downpipes for Improved Performance

Excellent audio quality. What is the intensity of the odor when there are no cats present? That is the one obstacle that has hindered my progress so far....... I am considering completely removing all components and replacing them with Highflow aftermarket secondaries. At now, I am using a DME STG 1.5 Engine Control Unit (ECU) and a Weisstech STG 1 transmission tune, in addition to employing Cold Air Intake (CAI) intakes.
